Disappointing is the word most Tampa Bay Rays fans would use to describe Evan Longoria’s 2011 season. As fans, we’ve come to expect so much from the Rays’ young third baseman. When he doesn’t attain all of those lofty expectations it’s easy to be disappointed.

Few people were certain whether B.J. Upton’s sixth-inning drive landed fair or foul. Not even Upton himself knew for sure. The next time up, he left little doubt. After barely missing a home run earlier, Upton hit a three-run shot in the seventh that broke open the game and sent the Tampa Bay Rays past the Toronto Blue Jays 6-5 on Saturday.
